The cook book with
almost 200 pages is packed recipes from a variety of people including the cast of BBC comedy series “Give My Head Peace”,
two cook book authors Tanya Wright and Julia McMaster, and some of our members & friends.
We all lead such busy lives and many people today do not have time to bake or cook.
For this reason we have chosen the recipes for their simplicity as well as their nutritional value. There
are recipes for special occasions including parties, Christmas, birthdays which are difficult to cater for when someone has
serious food allergies. Picnics and daily packed lunches for schools also present problems hence the title
of the book.
We have catered for various allergies
eg nuts, egg, dairy, wheat, gluten, soya etc and have provided tips on how to vary the recipes, decoration, as well as information
about allergen free products, how to avoid contamination, labelling etc in order to keep food and allergic people safe.
